When Your Content Well Dries

In Blog Marketing, Writing

Writing for a blog requires writing new things on a regular basis. The blog needs to be updated to stay fresh. No body likes stale content.

If your blog is not updated with fresh content being added on regular intervals, it may just die.

Maintaining a regular supply of content is not an easy task at all. This is especially true if you are solo writer. You need to think and write. You need to read. But inspite of all this there might come a point when you think you cannot write any post for today.

Today turns into tomorrow and you still are searching.

You lurk into forums, you read other people’s blogs. Everybody seems to be full of ideas. Why cannot you write something worth sharing.

This is a problem and a challenge that each one us faces at one point or another. There is no guarantee that if you have faced it once it will not strike again.

But if you are careful enough, you can ride over the content drought smoothly.

I speak from my personal experience. Do live hand to mouth as for as your blog content is concerned.

You must have articles written in store for difficult times.

For weeks together I could not write a single word. I eventually overcame the block but learnt a very important lesson.

Like we save money for difficult times, we need to save content for bad times.

One of the most important habits of writing is to write regularly. You need to develop a concept, a routine of writing. You must give yourself a target to write and then complete it.

Instead of writing on as and when basis, you must write a fixed number of articles per day.

If you post seven articles per week in your blog, you must write a number more than that to keep few articles in storage so that you can offset any exigency.

It is a simple but useful advice. :-)
