A content writer always has a challenge ahead of him. To find more content that would provide value to their websites and readers. Most of us have resources at our disposal which we use in times of need. These include books, magazines, websites that we visit often to read.
I made a comprehensive list of the content resources to share with you.
Books, Magazines, Journals
These are the handy resources when you do not want to be online. But the disadvantage with them is the space they occupy. Anyway I keep a stack of business and marketing books along with truckload of my medical books that I have. Books, magazines and journals always come handy. You can read them at leisure or take them along.
Printed Ebooks
I have a different stack where I keep all the ebooks that I print and read. I always find it easier to print and read. When I read I keep a diary with me to take notes of the important points,a habit that has been inculcated by years of rigrous medical training.
Article Directories
Ha! We are online now. 
Article directories are great source of information. Ezinearticles.com is most well kept directory. Ideamarketers and Articledashboard are others that I visit to find information or stimulus
Search Engines
Search engines provide on demand links to the website that might have a relevant content. But to use search engine you must be clear in your mind what you are looking for. I use this resource sparingly.
Social Websites
Digg, Mixx, Sphinn are the social websites which publish content submitted by users and voted by users. You can checkout what is latest and what is popular on them. In addition, you can also conduct search for the topics that you might be interested in.
With many niche based sites coming fast, you can visit the relevant social marketing website to find the content.
News Blogs
in every niche there exist sites which publish news. You can find the one in yours by visiting search engines, looking at blogrolls, blog directories etc. News blogs often provide stimuli that you can expand and work upon.
It is advisable to make your own blogroll for the blogs or sites that you find useful.
Online News Sites
Sites like BBC, CNN, Reuters can provide you immense material to ponder on. Also you would be updated with latest happenings in your niche.
The news itself may provide the content to work on.
Press Releases
Press releases are great way to know what is happening on the web. But you need to choose carefully what you are looking at because quite a lot of them are plain self promotions.
