Google certified ad networks Available To All Adsense Publishers

Google Adsense has a new feature now and this feature was rolled out last year to American and European publishers. Two days back this feature has been extended to all the publishers world over.

The feature is inclusion of Google certified ad networks into Adsense.

Before this feature n Adsense publisher could show only Adwords advertisement in his Adsense ad display. But after this feature is enabled, an Adsense publisher would also be showing advertisements from other ad networks which has been certified by Google.

Here is the original video that explains it well

AdSense allows multiple Google certified ad networks to compete for your ad units. This new capability is called yield management and  is powered by DoubleClick Ad Exchange.

Google says it would help you generate the most profit for every ad that appears on your site. More ad networks mean more competition and this means display of higher bid whether that comes from AdWords or other ad networks.

Google further says

We conduct a thorough certification process to ensure that ad networks meet Google’s requirements for third-party ad serving with regard to user privacy, accuracy of measurement, latency, and compliance with our creative policies.

The ads are placed in standard ad formats offered by Google in Adsense.

If you wish you can also request allowing or disallowing  a particular ad network.

To allow or block ad networks:

1. Sign in to AdSense.
2. Click the AdSense Setup tab and then the Ad Review Center tab to see a summary of allowed and blocked ad networks.
3. Click change beside the summary.
4. Choose whether to allow or block ad networks in the ‘Allowed ad networks’ box:

  • Click block beside the ad networks you want to block. (To block all Google certified ad networks, click block all.)
  • Click allow beside the ad networks you want to allow.

5. Click Submit. Changes will take effect within approximately one hour.

Certified ad networks and advertisers are not allowed to collect data from your site for the purpose of subsequent targeting.

Would this actually transform to higher earnings per click.

It seems very likely.
