As I write this post, the web is abuzz with activity and discussions on Google Caffeine going live.

What Is Google Caffeine?

Google Caffeine is the new update from Google

[Do not confuse it with Pagerank update.]

This is usually a change in Google algorithm and causes shift of results at Google.

This update has been first announced in August and Google even provided a public preview of its new update. It was slated to launch after holidays. It is supposed to have higher indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions.

How Would you Know The Difference?

Generally speaking you would not  notice any difference. The user interface remains the same. The changes are behind the interface. Unless you are a heavy searcher, you will not notice anything

What is The Difference?

New Google Caffeine is supposed to be a better search engine. The feedback till now states that

• Almost has double the speed of  Google classic.
• The algorithm’s is different. Keywords in the text have more importance now.
• Better at providing real time search

Would It Affect Your Site Rankings?

Yes! The rankings are changing web over. If your ranking has been affected, you just had coffee.
