Yes it is true. You can earn on the web without spending any upfront money. This was unthinkable few years back but advent of blog has changed the picture entirely. Today you can begin your journey on the web without taking a single bug out of your pocket.
You need following things to start with-
A computer
It could be a desktop or laptop.
Internet Connection
Fast internet connection that does not bog you down with its speed is another prerequisite.
After you possess these things, you are ready to make money from the internet.
On the net you need to have following two things
Blog: A blog is another name for weblog. It means an online journal but goes much more beyond that.
You can have blog for free. There are many services that provide free blog service. Blogger.com and Wordpress.com are the ones which are most popular. I have used both in the past but now only use Wordpress because it is more versatile and better than the other.
When you open an account with Blogger.com, you would get a domain like yourblog.blogspot.com.
At wordpress you would have yourblog.wordpress.com
Once you set up a blog start writing the content before applying for adsense account. This is to have some content running on your site when Google reviews your site.
Adsense Account: I discussed in this post in detail about adsense. After you get an account, you can put different ads on your blog.

Soon! The money would start coming in. All you need is to improve your processes to increase your profits.

This article was to let people know how to make money with adsense without spending any money from your pocket. This method while brings out returns, does not translate into estabilishing your own business, for which you need to have your own domain name to startwith.
After you make some decent money and you are fully convinced that you can make money from the net, you should move to get your own domain.
