First time I came across this word in Anthony Robbins book “Awaken The Giant Within”. It took me some time to realize the real meaning of this word though.
The word has a Japanese origin and it refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, supporting business processes, and management.
The philosophy has been It has been applied in various fields including business and every section from workplace, employees and processes.
When I realized the true meaning, I understood its role in success, both in and outside the business.
To follow this all you have to do is ask
“How Can I improve this?”
That means every time you do a process, you would endeavor t perform better next time.
