Why No One Is Buying?

In Internet Marketing

First hurdle faced by a new marketer in beginning of his business is the traffic generation. Many a businesses die because of lack of traffic.

Second obstacle to survival is lack of sales despite the traffic. This happens very commonly and in my view is part of the learning curve.

If you are getting traffic but making no sales or sporadic sales, you need to look into your site and ask,

“why no one is buying?”

In simplest term it means that you are not delivering what your customers want. With millions of sales being done everyday, it should not be difficult to take your pound of flesh.

For making sales you need to gear the site for that.

Customer First

If your website is not yet, then start making it customer oriented. Search engines and other means can send you traffic but it is the customer who would decide the ultimate transaction. Therefore you need to create a website that works for traffic generation and takes care of the visitors too.

Find missing link in your website and there you go…

Target Rightly

Is your audience targeted enough. For example the traffic from social marketing sites comes in hordes and is good for branding but hardly results in subscription or sales. While this kind of traffic is good for branding it is pathetic when it comes to performance.

In contrast, traffic from search engines and articles are relatively more targeted.

Do Not Sell, Tell

Do not make your sales offer a sales pitch. You can carry on endlessly by saying “Buy This”and “Buy That” and sales will not come.

Instead, offer solution to people’s problems and people would buy those solutions without you telling them.

Connect

You must strike a connecting cord with your visitors. This can be done at many levels and in many ways. Testimonials from known figures is a way to create trust and connect. If you have a good network, people in your network are more likely to trust you.

Similarly having a forum on your site gives people an opprtunity to connect with you. Newsletter can be used as connection building tool.

Get to know your customer and come across as one whom people can trust. Sales would automatically follow.
