So What If You Are Giving It Free?

Free stuff giveaway is a popular method to generate viral buzz. If people like it then you are going to benefited hugely in terms of traffic and customers. But there is a condition. People should like it.

Most of the webmasters do not prepare their free content as sincerely as they develop there content intended at selling. May it be an ebook or video most of the free stuff distributed with an intention to generate buzz is lousy.

Needless to say, it dies before you can pronounce buzz.

In earlier days conducting a viral campaign was easy. The competition was non existent. People did not have high expectations and anybody who sent free information on their way was considered generous.

Enter competition.

People were bombarded with so much premium info that paid information became no longer necessary. Blogs and bloggers added another dimension to it.

People now want almost everything free.

They have a choice now. They can choose from available free content.

The one that does not look professional is not even looked at.

People cannot be lured as easily.

What to do?

You need to prepare your content in a very professional manner. You need to put your energy into the content, a usable content that is well researched and rehearsed.

Producing a free product that generates buzz should aim at following

  • Must be useful to your target market
  • Should be presentable and easy to understand

No body would take it just because it is free.

In spite of its being free you need to convince your user that it is good, useful and meets his needs.
