What are Resale Rights Products?

Note: Resale Rights are also termed as resell rights and both convey same meaning.

In the earlier days of net a product was created and sold by the original creator or affiliates. As the market developed the concept changed and people started passing the resell rights along with the product. This meant people could sell the products as reseller and keep all the profits. This was a win win situation. The creator would get a higher price and reseller gets the resell rights.

There are many kinds of rights which can be passed with a product.It is important to understand different kinds of product rights because product rights is quite a sensitive issue and protected by copyright laws. It is better to understand these terms and how they differ from each other.

Giveaway Rights:

These are basic distribution rights. It means mean you are free to pass on that ebook or software at no cost to anyone. You are not allowed to sell it. You can find these rights usually stated at the beginning of ebooks or somewhere in the software file. You cannot alter the content of the product.

Resell Rights:
==============

These are also called resale rights. It means that you are free to sell that product for any price and can keep all the profits. These products come with pre written sales pages, product images and thank you pages. They usually have a suggested retail price is listed.

Generally you are allowed to give them to your customers and members as bonus or include them in  a membership site for download. 

This resell right however does not  allow you to pass resell rights itself to your customers.

Master Resell Rights:

It means you could give it away, resell it, bundle it, create new information packages or include them in your own membership sites. In this case you can pass on the resell rights to others. Thus when you sell that product to somebody, he can further sell it to someone else.

Master resell rights usually cost more but give the owner more control. Master resell rights do vary a little depending on the product creator. Be sure to abide be the license
rights included with each individual product.

Private label resell rights:
===========================

They are the most generous rights. You get the source files of the products. You can create a new product from it and call it your own. You could edit the content, add to it, remove certain parts, create new images, redo the sales page and repackage the entire product. You could even use the text content to create a niche website theme, online e-course, or break a large file into mini reports.

You could then take the product you recreated and give it away, resell it, bundle it with other products and  packages or include them in your own membership sites.

 Unless otherwise stated in the private label rights, you could sell the resell rights to others.

So when you sell that product to someone, you could offer them the resell rights as well for a higher price so they sell it to someone else.

 Private label rights are usually the most expensive form of rights to buy as buyer gets full editing control and can create new products from the source files.
