For putting leverage into practice, you must think about the ways in which your single task can bring maximum effect.
Leverage is not about the things and techniques you use.
Leverage is about how you do your things.
When you write an article and publish it, you do one iof the many things that you can do with an article.
What else could you do?
Expand it to a short reoprt and suggest in your article the link where you can download the report. You can use this to build your list or generate viral effect.
You can send the article to your affiliate to publish on their website followed by hyperlink to your products/store. You can put an inbuilt tracking mechanism to track the affiliate performance also.
Rephrase the short report as chapter of the book
You can do this for every activity of yours.
Whenever you do something, you must think about different ways you can use your activity to generate the leverage.
The results would be eye opening.
