Ethical Marketing-Why Should You Stick To It

In Internet Marketing, Success

I am a great believer of God. Naturally, that makes me a God fearing man. therefore concept of ethics and being right is very dear to me.

The following discussion is not going to appeal many a people. Because it involves some concepts which can only be justified if you think ethically. Many people question ethics in today’s world and some sneer at them.

But that does not change the way the system works.

Copywriting is an art. I consider it quite a great art and service. But to dupe your customers in garb of hyped copywriting is a cheap tactic. I understand that it is very important to use powerful selling words to really convey each and every little benefit that your product has to convince the customer.

Copywriting has its own poetic license.People exaggerate the facts and get away with it. You see it everyday. Its in newspapers, TV ads and billboards. It is not uncommon to see words like “unbelievable” and “phenomenal” in really great salesletters.

By marketing standards that is acceptable and people allow it too. Its like those dram movies. everybody knows it is exaggerated but then everybody enjoys it.

But there are other kind of people too. Marketers who intentionally use ultra hyped-up descriptions to sell off their products.

They are in fact not making a hype, they are lying.

They mislead customers into thinking that their products offer benefits that do not really exist in reality.

The sad but very real fact is that there are many scam artists online, waiting to rip you off your hard-earned money.

Remember that the usual advice that is given to consumers. It applies online too.

Use your common sense.

If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

If somebody promises you sky, then he is lying.

If you promise sky to someone, you are lying too.

When you are into marketing, stick to ethics.

You would ve benefited in the long run.

If you apply customer duping tactics aiming at short term gains then you would not survive in the long run.

Your reputation as cheater would spread faster than you could count your cash.

You would not be considered a businessperson. You would be labelled as Thug.

Ethical marketing could make slow progress initially, but you would be happy that you did it in long run.

Take care.
