Broadcast
This feature is essential requirement. You would like to avial this feature because you want to monetize by contacting your subscribers whenever you need to.
The big money in a list comes in the form of sending out a solo advertisement. It is important to choose an autoresponder with minimum restriction on number of broadcasts or number subscribers that you can send mails. Great post. I just wanted to add, I use the IMMailer and have found it to be just about top notch.
It has an import/export feature like you mentioned and the autoresponse system is perfect. Lets you add an attachment as well.
It also generates opt in forms for you with customizable variables. If you want something that is hosted on your own site, this would be a good option!
