Types of Hyperlinks and Their Effective Use On Website
The profit on your website is going to come from the clicks on the links. Whether it comes directly as a result of click or follows that as a result of click, depends on the type of link.
Every website has got three types of links.
- Internal Links
- External Links
- Links That Bring Money
Internal Links
These are the links that take the visitors to a different page or section on your website. These links help in increasing page views and increase visitor value.
basically they expose more of your website to your readers. And this also include the exposure of your monetization process.
More internal links increase visitor stay and therefore add to your profits.
External Links
These are the links that would take your visitors away from your website. These might be the resource links that you want to provide to your visitors or link to other related websites.
While these links are useful to your visitors, they affect your profits in a negative way. They are helpful in situations when other websites also link to you, providing incoming traffic.
Links That Bring Money
These are the bread aand butter of your website. They are the revenue generators and bring cash. They could be Adsense links, afiliate links, links to the products that you sell on your site or your online store.
As they add money, theyare most important clicks on your website and your focus must be to make maximum use of these links.
It is imporatant to place your links in a way that your reader is taken to the third kind of links or links that bring money at the climax.
It is advisable to put money generating links in the area where reader would be exposed maximum.
