NOW Is The Right Time To Start

It was late night and we were having a stroll along the empty road. Winters were about to approach and weather was quite pleasant.
We must have walked a lot before he asked me the question that changed course of my future. ?When are you starting??

I took some time to understand. Then it suddenly occurred to me that he was asking about my online business venture that I often discussed with him.

“Its been a long time since you you told me about it”. He smiled as I was searching for an answer.

Rohan knew nothing about internet business. But he always heard me with attention and always encouraged to go ahead.
? I do not think it is possible this year.? I replied. “I am busy with something”.

What he said was unexpected, ?You are fooling yourself. If you keep postponing it,you will never have the time. Things do not change much next year. If you are serious, stop procrastinating”.

Then he gave the final blow, ?If you postpone, it will fizzle out.?

People often ask what is the right time to start a business. Each of us is occupied with one or other thing. We want to get our own thing but because we are not serious, we keep postponing that.

And we never make a start.

If you ask me what is the right time to start a business.

I would answer that in a single word.

?NOW.?

I received that advice from a friend who hardly knew anything about internet business. But he was right when he asked me to start the venture or forget it.

I often remember the late night walk that shaped my future.

I still go for a walk on that road though alone. Rohan has moved to Bombay and is a successful dermatologist.
