In a world where things change faster you can say “I understand”, it is not an uncommon phenomenon to lag behind the new advances. Added to this is the hype that comes with every technology. This hype is more pronounced in the marketing world though other niches are catching the trend.
The new guy in the town is hit worst. There is already so much to learn and new thing keep arriving. He is yet in learning phase and things do not seem to work well when it comes to making money.
Somehow the idea sinks in that he might be using the outdated model and gets compounded by the hype that has been created around the new product and technology.
The guy panics and leaves his lessons midway and jumps in to buy new kind of lessons. After sometime the process gets repeated by a new product and story goes on till the guy exhausts.
It is important to know as much as possible.
In search of short cuts we always look for arrival of some breakthroughs. We assimilate the lessons but do not master them in action.
Any technique would not work if you do not apply it properly. The same would go for new technique.
Do not get panicked. Panic creation is often the tactic used by marketers to make you believe that you are applying stone age methods and your business would not move until you try his technique.
There were days when I used to feel the same. I would hunt some new arrivals that would ensure flow of money.
But over the years I learned one thing.
New techniques ( so called) also base them on the basic proven model of business.
An internet business needs following elements to succeed
- Traffic
- Conversion of Visitors to Customers
- Repeat Purchases
Everything revolves around these. Every product, every theory and every damn secret they offer you.
Here is what I would suggest you to follow if you are shaky and not making a progress anywhere.
Stick to one marketing method at a time. Blow it to max. Focus on it until you see no further progress.
Then add another method. Every new method would involve new learning so you should be adding one at as time.
As you start becoming master of the trade by mastering the proven methods, you would be in better position to try and analyze newer techniques.
