At first glance this might appear to be a stupid question. After all each blog has got one theme; default, free or paid, whatever one could put hands on. No blog appears to be without theme. In fact blogsphere is full of attractive themes.
Hold on! I am not talking about those themes that you can change with your click.
It is different one.
Dictionary defines theme as a central idea in a piece of writing or other work of art.
While a blog must possess a relevant theme that consists of fonts, graphics and other presentations, your blog must have a central core idea around which your writing revolves.
It is this theme that I was talking about. But again that is partial truth.
Your blog must have relevant looks, relevant pieces of your writing work, relevant advertisements and relevant resources to maintain the universality of its consistency.
if you have a business blog you must have a look for your blog that matches the idea of your niche, you must have posts that mostly talk about the topic you want to focus. Your advertisements must provide a useful information in the relevant fields and you should link to other business resources who compliment or are closely related to the core idea you are presenting.
If you could match alll these then you have a well themed blog.
Your blog description is a strong indicator of your theme.
I have seen blogs who call themselves business blogs but they write on everything except business.
For success a themed blog would always perform higher than non themed.
