There could not be a better time to begin my postings again at which  I  have been failing in spite of best of intentions. Once again I can become student of internet business and share my experience and knowledge with you [I have not done that for past 5 months]

Last post of mine seems like an April Fool Day’s joke. Well it was not. I was really supposed to come back soon.

But I could not.

I would not say lack of time. It was flurry of urgent and pressing other activities of my clinical practice and real life duties.

You should not postpone a single post. one postponement leads to another and soon it becomes a habit.

I have written today’s post to break the habit of postponement.

I am trying to take the grip back and work as planned for this website.

It might take some time as the activities that keep me away from my site are still there.

But I would squeeze the time.

I need to.

I am writing after an absence of more than a month. And I was supposed to write twice daily.

Phew!

There are certain things which hit you by surprise and hold you, not letting you do anything. You watch haplessely as things take the rein from your hands and make you serve to the conditions in stead of becoming their master.

Same things happened.

Matters slipped out of hand and priorities out of mind.

But things are back to normal now. Well! almost.

In the flurry of events that rode me, another significant occurrence of concern was death of my hard disk.

Beyond repair! Beyond retrieval.

People! DO not leave your laptop on and sleep.

In the morning Unmountable Boot Volume message may take the life out of your body.

Bad thing.

Carelessness.

No amount of grief  or cursing is going to bring the data back. I wish I had a backup.

Yes! Please do not make those frowns.

I have been flogging myself throughout.

Apart from other things were two almost finished ebooks I had marked for publishing this quarter.

I need to write everything again. No! I have to think and write everything again.

You must be wondering on my absence and silence for past two weeks.

Yes! Everything is fine. I had been so engrossed and busy with expansin of my website boneandspine.com that caused a near exhaustion.

In an effort to be more useful to the readers, boneandspine.com needed a community where people could meet and chat about their problems without going through hassles of commenting and waiting for comment approval as the situation had been.

Somehow that changed into top priority.  And because it demanded, I needed to shut off few more lurking projects to  focus on the stuff that was working.

communities.boneandspine.com is ready in its very basic format. Things would improve with users chiming in.

Please do spread the word about that website to someone who you think might find it useful.

Put Links In Captions. This is An Example From My Other Website

By default, any formatting you do in captions of your WordPress blog, it is stripped and only plain text remains.

May be it would improve in future versions of WordPress .

Recently, I was looking for a way to place HTML links in the image and I found this plugin  by Katz Web Services, Inc. that adds links to image captions in the WordPress editor.

Links In Captions

You can install the plugin by going to your plugins page in your WordPress admin area and click “Add New”.

In the search box, type  Links In Captions. Press install after you locate it in search results and activate it when installation completes.

How to use

Inside the caption input, you can now add a link by using the following format:

{link url=”http://www.example.com”}Anchor text here{/link}

Optional: You can also specify target, title, and rel attributes:

{link url=”http://www.example.com” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow” title=”I never could do this before!”}Anchor text here{/link}

Note: The link does not appear in the admin area, only code is seen and caption may seem messy. But on preview it would appear as link.

Possible Uses

• For providing credits to image source
• Mention similar sources
• Promoting affiliate links

As 2011 unfolds, I am laying foundation for a better year and more accomplishments.

Here are the things that I have decided to do in 2011

Productivity

I am going to make myself more productive than before. That includes making two posts per day on this blog. This  posting is optional on Sundays.I want to write more and I am willing to do it.

Knowledge

I am going to read 50 books this year. Yes! That is correct. One new book per week. It would be hard on my time but I would do it anyways. All are not related to business but quite a number of them are.

I have complied the list of books that I am going to read this year and would share with you soon.

Store

Home For Profits would soon have a store of its own where it would display products for sale.

Better Reader Experience

Last year saw exit of Adsense ads from the blog content. This year its time for Clickbank contexual ads to go. They simply do not convert.

I would focus more on products that I think are useful for the business rather than letting a software decide for you.

Marketing

Home for Profits lack enough marketing. I have made enough decisions for marketing both paid and free.

Social Interaction

I made efforts to socialize but those were apparently not enough. I am going to increase my social presence.

Ebooks

There are two unfinished ebooks lying on my desktop that were supposed to be published in 2010. Sadly, I could not and I am going to publish both in the first quarter.

One comes out in January and other in March.

Revenue

I would discuss the revenue generated by the site every six months. My first revenue statement would come in June end 2011.

There are a lot of things which need to be done.

Health

At 107 kgs, you need some drastic measures to come into shape . By year end I want my weight below 90 kgs.

I know many of things appear little vague but I have not unveiled them purposefully. As the time comes things will take shape and reveal themselves.
