Internet marketing is a great way to make a living. One of the key component of internet marketing is networking.

Because of our daily targets and chores we often forget or overlook the networking aspect. We become so entrenched in that they forget to worry about anyone else.

Networking refers to is meeting and interacting with people in order for both of you to potentially
make profits – financially and otherwise.

Basic purpose of netorking is to increase sphere of influence. Everybody has a sphere of influence which is determined by the number of people he or she can influence. But if you synergize with someone, your sphere of influence increases. It adds up influence sphere of both the persons to make a new sphere of potential influence.

However, networking involves work and it takes time…

It is worth it.

If you’re able to build a strong network you will prosper in the long run.

You’ll be able to help each other in your network and share success with each other.

Community participation is a geat way to network. Forums, blogs and social sites are places where you can network online.

Seminars are great for real life networking.

It might appear difficult in the beginning but slowly, over time you’ll be able to form great
relationships with some of the other marketers and together all of you will have a much better chance
of actually succeeding.

Forums if used rightly offer to cash a huge profits. It is a free marketing method that would generate cash. But very few people do it right way.

As a marketer we are interested in profit. But it must be remembered that forums are places for discussion and sharing information rather than selling.

A clever marketer would strike the balance between two. It is an art that can be learned over period.

Sell while you tell is the usual cliche referred for forum marketing. But it is important to understand that you you cannot fake telling and keep selling.

First and foremost with forum marketing is to have patience. You cannot just pop in and tell people to buy from you. The only way that you would be shown is the doorway.

After you join a forum you should work on building a reputation for yourself. There are many people who make half hearted attempts so if you try it will not a be a difficult job.

Reputation in forum is built by offering help-a genuine help. When you help other people, they hold you in high regards.

Do it repeatedly and soon you would be making a recognition for yourself. You would have a following that would hold attention when you speak.

And profits would follow.

Using Forums-Understanding Forum Etiquettes

A [tag-tec]forum[/tag-tec] is a community with its own set of rule and guidelines. Guidelines of forum generally vary from forum to forum but many things are common to all forums over the web.

A forum user is expected to maintain a set of behaviors for using a forum. Every net users should know these behaviors.

When you look at these etiquettes closely, you will find that everything is an extension of good human behaviors that we expect from each other in real life.

Basic mantra of forum usage is Treat others well, be civilized and stay within guidelines.

Isn’t that what we expect from each other in daily life?

Let us come back to forum etiquettes.

Introduce Yourself: After you join a forum, go and make an introductory post. You can write whatever you want in this but it is prudent to tell about yourself, your work and your expectation from the forum.

You will be surprised to find that you are given quite a warm welcome.

Read First, Post Later: Each forum in any niche would have its own feel, its own theme. You must read the way people interact with each other, the type of questions asked, the way sub forum functions. Many people would frown if your question is not in the right sub forum. For them it is breach of conduct. Make sure you post at right place.

Answer First: Many people are shy about asking. If so try answering a few questions that you knowledge about. That would help you to build confidence in you. That would also result in increased interaction between you and other members.

Do NOT Spam: Spamming is a breach of netiquette where users repeat the same word or phrase over and over, usually a willful act which sometimes has malicious intent. Intentions are generally self promotion. Spamming is highly objectionable and if you spam, forum doors will close for you very soon.

Be Civilized: As a forum user every newbie is scared. But when that newbie becomes veteran, he may pull newbies for asking stupid questions. Do not do that.

No Blatant Self Promotion: Each forum allows you to put a signature which can include back links to your web site. Apart from that forums generally do not allow to advertise yourself in your posts.

Word ‘forum’ comes from Latin. In Roman Empire forum meant a public square or marketplace that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business.

Dictionary defines forum as public meeting place for open discussion.

When they started internet forums had the same objective-discussion on various topics.

But soon they become a good marketing channels. It is true that a place where crowd gathers would sooner or later become a marketplace.

Web forums, message boards, discussion boards, discussion groups, discussion forums, bulletin boards are the synonyms that are often used for forums.

By definition, internet forum is a web based application that is used for holding discussion on user generated content.

Forums are not a new thing to web. Since basic objective of web was communication, forums came into existence quite early. Earlier forums had simple structure and functionality.

From historical point of view, forums have become quite evolved.

Because forum users often visit the forum regularly, discuss matters, they get to know each other and sense of community develops.

A forum would typically consist of forum administrator(s), moderators and users who are also called members. A forum is generally divided into several sub forums. Depending upon the access granted a user may use all or few of them.

When you go to a forum, you would need to open an account which is usually free. A few forums however have paid access. So you would need to check.

After you register, you become a registered member of the forum and allowed to post content and ask questions if you need to.

A forum is a community indeed. You would find different level of users. There would be newbies and there would be old guns who are generally very much respected in the community.

A forum administrator is the top in the ladder. Forum administrator typically has the power to edit, delete, move or modify any thread on the forum, change major software items, change global skins, modify the board, and ban, delete, or create members.

Moderators have few of these powers including editing, deleting, and moving threads, mass pruning, warning members for offences, and changing minor forum details. Usually there are more than one moderators who are chosen from the users.

Forums are present all over the net and almost in each niche. You can search for the list of forums in your niche in your favorite search engine.

Each forum has its own set of rules and guidelines which you need to abide by when you use that forum.

It is good step to join a forum. you would find answer to the problems you face and would build a rapport with your fellow members.

This in long run would prove quite productive for your business.
