Squidoo Updates Policy - Many Lenses On Verge of Deleltion
July 3, 2009 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
How Is Yours?

Squidoo Changes Policy
I have not used Squidoo for my promotions. You can not do everything in 24 hours even if you do not sleep.
But I have always liked the idea running behind Squidoo. Let us not go into semantics and taxonomy here but the idea of creating an expert page with dedicated content was quite unique.
But down the line, the system got quite exploited and the pages became repititive, spamy or stale because of cheap promotions that people were doing.
But Squidoo has woken up.
Coming 15th July, it is invoking major policy changes that would annihilate many lenspages as they term them. Read more

I like to read on regular basis but now a days I had been so busy that I hardly got any time to lif t a book. Earlier in my reading life I used to read newly purchased and second hand books. With internet being around I have more material to read than I can read.
But technology has its own side effects. Most of the stuff produced for reading is hardly worth a look. Most of these epublications or ebooks as they are better known are produced with an idea of getting people’s emails and people’s dollars.
There are very few who put a serious effort in their writing.
I have spent many dollars on some products trhat promised to treach me but did not. Your wallet is not for alms guys. Read more

Clickbank Surprised Me

I have not been promoting clickbank products for quite some time. but I have seen clickbank stay the same for years together. It has been dressed in its trademark blue and offered a serene kind of picture. But recently Clickbank has become bold and bright. Gone is the serene blue and it has been replaced by excitement bright red, yellow and green. Even the logo has got new colors.
But it is not only the web site design that has been changed. The new interface is very likable and there are many new excitinh features available both to affiliates and sellers now called vendors.
I was more interested in affiliate features so I checked them in detail and found very interesting changes.
One of the things that I liked is HopLink Shield, a tool that encrypts the affiliate and vendor nicknames in HopLinks. This adds an extra layer of privacy and anonymity to HopLinks, keeping affiliates’ promotional efforts and techniques hidden from others. Read more

May 15, 2009 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
With everything so loud on the internet, some terms can confuse the newly christened marketer mind. In their effort to be in front the marketers keep inventing terms and some of them become so ingrained in our daily use that we take them for granted without considering the meaning.
Prelaunch and launch are essentially and actually convey same meaning. if you do not want an artistic pleasure out of your language, both the terms are geared for launching a product. Read more

April 21, 2009 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment

Affilate Products Are Good To Make Money
Affiliate products are the best way one can begin his online business. One of the common problems encountered by newbies in affiliate marketing is choosing the right product to promote. Almost every third product has an affiliate program. A beginner might get confused in this plethora and may not begin at all or gets stuck in the wrong product line, wasting time, energy and money.
Here are few tips that would help you to choose a good selling affiliate product. The best strategy is to find products that are
already selling well.
Clickbank
Clickbank is grand daddy of digital products affiliate programs.Search the ClickBank Marketplace to find products with
a good gravity score. Gravity is a score that Clickbank assigns to each affiliate product according to their secret formula. It has to do with how many sales and how recently those sales have occurred.
High gravity means that affiliates are making a lot of commissions on sales. Low gravity means that there has not been many sales at all. So the gravity is measure of how success of the product is.
A product with gravity score 50 and 150 is a good to start because it gives you a popular product that doesn’t have fierce affiliate competition. Read more

February 26, 2009 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Recently Aweber announced few changes in their affiliate program. They have added many new features and some of them are very welcome.
This change has been based on a recent survey conducted by Aweber and includes
All commissions will be raised to 30%.
Aweber has raised the commission it used to pay its affiliates. This includes existing 1st tier commissions of 20%.This means more money from your sales efforts.
Second tier commissions are being phased out
I do not like this one. You get hit badly if you are making a good money from your sub affiliate sales. apparently this has been done to meet Paypal’s terms of service and enable paying of affiliates via Paypal.
One Year Cookie
Your affiliate cookie will be a 1 year, first visit cookie. This seems to be too much as people are whining over it.
PayPal
This again is great move. No more checks in the boxes. Paypal would handle it now. All affiliates will be paid once a month, on the first of every month.
Minimum Payout
Minimum check payout will be $30.00 for US affiliates and $50.00 for affiliates not based in the US. I do not think there is much change here.
There are certain good fearures
