Let Us Do The Marketing
August 31, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
In past few weeks, we discussed Product Creation, Domain Registration, Web Hosting in detail. We also touched website creation to have an idea about how to set up a website. Website creation and website improvement is a topic that is not a stand alone topic. It involves writing, graphics, search engines and many other facets. However the grasp over the things increases with time. For learning the language, there are plenty of resources available out there and I have listed quite a few in the past posts. So goes for the graphics.
However, We would keep discussing finer points in website creation and elements involved on regular basis, but we would now shift our focus on marketing. Read more

August 27, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
Let us face the fact. Internet is a faceless world. Your interaction with others is through your website. This kind of interaction does not have the advantage of one to one interaction or voice conversations we can have in real world.

You have to do within constraints of virtual world or internet. Read more

Website Building-Importance of a Good Navigation
August 24, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
The aim of a website’s navigation is simply to allow users easy access to the content they are searching for. From one page to another user must follow a sequence that should
be facilitated by the navigation system. If the sequence is haphazard, it could lead to frustration. The user in that case would simply leave the site.
If this happens, there goes your potential customer and you get an aborted sale. Read more

Product Review: eBook Pro 6.0-Secure eBook Publishing System
August 24, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
The minute I started using eBook Pro 6.0, I realised its simplicity and ease of use. No sophisticated knowledge required at all. eBook Pro 6.0 has “point-and-click wizards” that literally make building and customizing an eBook from scratch as simple as clicking your computer’s mouse!
With one click you can choose a professional design from the many templates that are included and with a couple of clicks you can customize it with your own logo, icons and other features. With few more clicks you can secure your ebook from theft by adding your eBook’s security features.
Here is the real killer. You can use eBook Pro 6.0 to make “viral” eBooks. You can add an “e-mail to a friend” button to your eBook. So, when someone reads it and sees that it’s FULL of useful information, they’ll happily pass it along to all of their friends and associates who in turn pass it along to their friends and associates and so on.
I also like the feature that collects contact information, thus expanding my list. It also gives you ability to make Free Trial copies of your eBook that you can “turn off” if your customer decides not to purchase at the end of the trial.
Really sweet one.Highly Recommended. Moreover it is stamped by Derek Gehl and his team.
With eBook Pro, your eBooks are easy to produce, they’re cost-effective, and they have the potential to generate insane amounts of profit with relatively little effort on you part!
It will do everything for you. The only thing it cannot do is write for you.:-)

To Sell You Must Make Your website Response Oriented
August 23, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 2 Comments
In business, primary aim of your web site is to sell. So it is important to put measures in place to accomplish that aim.
Nothing beats a response oriented website.
A response need not be a sale necessarily. It could be making the visitor give his email address in exchange to a free download or it could be [tag-tec]subscribing to a newsletter[/tag-tec].
Getting a response demands a page with content and information as to what should your visitor do. Read more

When Should You Outsource Your Work
August 22, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
When you start your business, you try to do everything yourself. But as your business grows, you may not find time and you may like to outsource few things.
When to outsource is as important as what to outsource. If doing a thing eats up your time that you otherwise would have used to grow your business and cost benefit analysis tilts in favor of outsourcing.
This threshold varies from person to person and also depends on phase in which your business is. I never outsourced my initial work. Spent days in learning and relearning. I learnt a lot but my business moved dead slow. You may not want this kind of approach. If yes, outsourcing would help you to move your business fast. Read more

Want To Earn without Investment-Start A Blog
August 20, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
Today I am going to five a formula which others would happily charge few good dollars to share.
I got an email from a person today. His name is Anand Goswami and he lives in Banglore. He works for a company from 9 to 5, six days a week. He is interested in earning money on internet but he does not want to invest yet. He asked me whether there is a way to convince himself that he can earn money on the internet. He wants to believe it but his mind raises doubts. So he asked if he could first make some bucks before he can go full swing.
In my view Anand needs more time to realize the potential and quell his fear of failure.
It needs to be understood that your results are based on efforts that you are ready to put. Every business requires basic structural framework to run and internet business is no exception. Even if you keep it bare minimum, you need a domain name, you need a hosting to publish your website, sales letter, graphics and a product to start. Add to this autoresponder cost for list building that would give you huge leap in the coming times. You can skip paid advertising for a while but surely you would like to add that too as your business grows.
But if Anand wants to convince himself, he can. Earlier it would have been difficult but with advent of blog it is possible. It may not earn him thousands but it can easily make him reasonable money without spending a dime.
What should Anand do? Read more

How To Use Banners To Promote Your Online Business
August 18, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · 1 Comment
There was a time when banners were a great marketing tool. But time passed, other things entered and banners were considered to be not that effective. But still I see everybody using banners on one occasion or other.
It is a fact that not many people click banners but it is not that people do not click at all. Banners are still part of your arsenal in your home business arena. They are good to put your brand into people’s minds. They are very valuable in building affiliate program.
Therefore, marketers still use them. Read more
