Product Creation - How To Do An Effective Market Search?
May 31, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
For product creation you need to find a market first that would spend money to buy your product. Then accordingly a product should be developed. If there is no market for your product or there is not enough market, your endeavors would not yield fruits.
When you search for a market, you look for things that are in hot demand. Here I am presenting a step by step method to search the market for your product.
First of all you have to select a broad category of the potential niche. This is generally determined by your interest and your previous skills. That does not mean that you cannot choose a different niche but it helps if you have a prior idea.
For example let us say you have studied finance and you have a good knowledge where you can offer your services/products to other people. But finance is very broad category. You need to narrow it further.
You would like to establish a business in subcategory of finance. As a next step we have to see whether there is an available market> If yes whether it is profitable or not.
With your research let us say you have further narrowed on tax matters.
You will start your business on tax matters.
You can further narrow it to income tax, house tax and so on.
But it is important to find their profitability.
Both offline and online research methods are used in product market research.
We would discuss one by one in coming posts.

May 29, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
In earlier days of my internet business I worked without a well written plan. Everyday I would come back from my job excited, open my desktop( could not afford a laptop then) and then connect to internet. First thing I always did was check my mails with a hope to see “You have made a sale” kind of email. Then I would check my web stats and wonder why out of hundereds not a single person bought.
There were many a projects I had conceived in my mind. [tag-tec]Article writing[/tag-tec], [tag-tec]pay per click advertisement[/tag-tec], [tag-tec]forum posting[/tag-tec] -I wanted to do everything everyday. Blogging had just come into vogue at that time. I wanted to learn that too along with [tag-tec]html[/tag-tec] that I was already pursuing. There were many[tag-tec] ebooks[/tag-tec] to read but I searched and downloaded more.
Because I had so many things in hand I accomplished nothing. Every day I would look into my mailbox and web stats but found no changes. I was working to fullest of my abilities and getting nothing. It was so depressing. Then there were stories of small guys making it big and few of them in front of me only.
Why cannot I!
Everyday I would put more efforts but results were never promising.
It took me long time to understand my mistakes. And when I realized I audited my inputs. In spite of my hard work I had devoted very less time in growth of my [tag-tec] online business[/tag-tec]. Rest of the time was wasted in checking mails, visiting the new offers just because they happen to reach my inbox, lurking in the forums.
Many of you would be feeling the same way I had felt when I started. I do not about you but i was not from a business background and my field of specialization was not even remotely related to business training. Little knowledge, lack of familiarity with the surroundings, loneliness, high enthusiasm and high expectations make it a very complex situation for the beginners.
That is why I must say, “It is very important to know what you are doing”.
We must understand the activities we are doing. Ask yourself whether the action you do right now is going to grow your business!
There are things that grow our business. For example writing mails to the list, writing articles and submitting to article directories, writing a blog post, writing a forum post, updating content of the website, creating a new product, sending a new offer to the list, automating our business by script so that there is more time for your business.
And there are things that waste our time. For example lurking in the forum because you do not want to do anything better, checking frequently your mailbox to appease your expectation, getting lost in world wide web just because a click link tempted you, buying a new ebook on business when you already have plenty unread, searching for the secret that would bring a horde of visitors. I think you get the idea.
In business you need to
- Grow Your Business by all known steps
- Grow Your knowledge so that when you exhaust all methods and options for 1, you have other one ready.
You need to read and educate yourself. Therefore it becomes important to focus on and prioritize your work. You cannot do everything so you must focus on one or two methods of growth for your business, use & exhaust them fully before moving to next one. Meanwhile you must educate yourself so that when you decide to use next option you have a good idea of how to work on that.
Whatever you do, just keep analyzing your actions. I learnt that quite a hard way. You can shorten your learning curve.

May 29, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
A short and sweet answer would be Everything. Yes! That is right. Household items, ebooks, softwares, computers, real estate……. You can imagine anything and it can be found on internet. You can sell tangible products like pen or cellphones and intangible products like ebooks.
It is better and easier to start with intangible products. Intangible products include a product such as a software or a service like copywriting. All the advantages which had been discussed in Online Business Vol I are maximized in case of intangible products. You do not need any kind of store and you are saved from shipping and related issues. As a beginner it is the best to focus on intangible products or services. Once you become master you can move on to tangible products to. Our Online Business manual is based upon our studies and experience with intangible products only

May 26, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Typos and spelling errors give writers a constant headache. Not only it makes the reading unpleasant but also it puts a doubt on your credibility.
Readers are too harsh when it comes to judging an author. They can overlook the content to some extent but typos and spelling errors are unpardonable. Unfortunately every body is a victim of these errors and sometimes these are realized after your work is published.
You have written a great article and are very happy with the content and language you have used. You submit that to various directories and on line article submission services.
You go for a review and there it stands out like a thorn. Jutting out of the rest of the article it makes you feel embarrassed. Oh God! How could I miss that! It is so ovbious.
But the situation is out of control now. It cannot be undone now. And everytime you have a look at that typo or spelling error, you will feel the twinge.
It is best to prevent them. Here are few tips to avoid and minimize your typos and spelling errors.
1. As for as possible write your article in an html editor. If you use word processor then turn the smart tags and quotes off. It is because most of the article directories publish the articles in text. When presented with smart quotes the browser converts them into some special characters like #@ or similar which irritates the reader.
After you finish your article do run it through a spell checker. But do not trust this software completely. It is also limited by its input and programming. It will catch only those errors which it knows. It may miss the terms used in specialized fields. So concentrate on that aspect.
Moreover the spell checker will not understand the need of the words in a particular sentence. It will not differentiate between hear and hare because both are correct words in their own right. Your spell checker will not tell you anything wrong in the sentence whereas only one of them will fit the need of your sentence in a particular line.
2. Read yourself aloud articulating each word when you scan the article to find and correct the errors. If you just scan it silently you might miss you few errors.
3. After above two steps are done, print your articles and read the article in print. It is easier to catch the typos and spelling errors while you read a printed document.
4. Finally ask another person to proofread your article. It could be your spouse or your friend. He or she will catch some mistakes which you might have missed.
5. Put aside your article away for some time. Come back later and scan once more.
Your chances of letting a typo or spelling error to pass becomes quite minimal.
It is well known that eyes catch only what mind knows. No matter how much we know it is not too much to learn some more. Read regularly to keep your language and spellings fresh.

May 24, 2007 by Arun Pal Singh · Leave a Comment
Between you and success lies just one step. That step is execution of your ideas. That step is taking action. Let us examine step by step formulation of a business project.
Firstly it is just a thought. A thought can come anywhere.Ideas come as spark. Just as lightening bolt strikes. From nowhere in the empty realms of mind something erupts. It is so fast at this moment that you actually might not be aware of it. But subconscious registers and the process starts.
Slowly and slowly idea takes the shape. It is still a gross shape which now would be refined by the conscious mind.
Millions of neurons work together and keep bombarding one after another to formulate and refine the gross idea into a workable plan.
At this stage if you ignore, the creation dies before it could assume a form. You need to feed your thoughts to complete the process of creation.
Next step is very important. You need to take the action. If you form an idea or plan but do not follow it then it would be better if idea was never born.
Millions of ideas die at this stage.
Why?
Because the conscious mind of yours is not ready to act.
From sowing of an idea to reaping the harvest the path is written. The path is called action.
Action is integral part of the success.
What brings in the idea?
Desire!
Desire is the prime mover of human beings.
Desire has led to the greatest inventions. People do attribute them to necessity but what made feel the need?
Desire!
From discovering the fire to making of the jets and inventing the chips that run your computer as you read this, the DESIRE has brought them to the world.
Desire to succeed.
Desire to do better.
Desire to be wealthy.
And so on.
If it was not desire we would still be hiding in the caves and hunting for our daily meat.We would not sit comfortably in our secure homes and eating at our will. All this has been produced because our ancestors desired.
Let your desire show you the path. A desire strong enough to move your subconscious. You will start seeing the opportunities you never found before. Those were always there.
Grab an opportunity. Let the idea be born.
Then take the action.
Action is the most essential endeavor!
If you wish to make lot of money then go for it. But first ensure that it is a heartfelt, conscious moving desire and you are just not dreaming about the money.
Then take action.
This applies to every sphere of life. This applies to online business. It is the shortest path to get success in home based busines.
